↗↗The hob switches itself off
Possible areas: temperature protection, pan detection or power management. Record the zone, pan and selected level when it stops.
↗↗A code or symbol appears
Possible areas: a model-specific warning or operating state. Record the complete code and the model, without treating it as a parts diagnosis.
↗↗Heating differs between zones

↗↗The entire hob appears inactive
Possible areas: the supply, a control lock or an electronic issue. Record whether any lights or symbols remain visible.
↗↗The hob makes an unfamiliar sound
Possible areas: fan operation, induction pan interaction or a mechanical issue. Record whether the sound follows a particular pan or power level.
↗↗The cooking surface is damaged
Possible areas: impact damage or a glass/surface failure. Record the visible damage; stop using a cracked surface.

Model and access
Use the model from an existing manual or an accessible label. Do not lift a fitted hob or reach under electrical connections.
Identify electric, ceramic, induction or gas. A ceramic glass surface alone does not establish the heating technology.
