What the symptom may mean
The dryer starts making a new sound may involve drum support, an object in the load or fan movement. An engineer assesses the actual appliance; a symptom alone does not identify a component.
Useful details from ordinary use
Record whether the noise happens continuously or once per drum turn. Separate the selected programme or control setting from the result you saw or heard. Keep the exact display message if one appeared.
Find the product, safely
Use the accessible door-frame label. Record whether the dryer is vented, condenser or heat pump if you already know.
Keep ventilation clear as described in the user instructions. Sealed refrigerant work on heat-pump dryers is outside our repair scope.
Stop if it becomes unsafe
Do not remove covers, reach into moving parts or continue using an appliance with smoke, sparking, a burning smell, water near electrical parts or repeated tripping. Do not restart it to reproduce the problem.
